I have been using nothing but Spektrum Smart batteries, first gen not G2 with no problems, puffy batteries or anything like that plus I use the telemetry that gives me the battery temp, voltage etc. on my transmitter which is helpful.  The NX10 helps with that.

    Hi Richard,

I know Butch has a NX10 as do I. Both of us have had problems as we updated the transmitter to the 3.06 version update. I did it wirelessly as directed by the Spektrum tutorial which told me to choose the latest update which was incorrect. We need to do the 3.05 update before the 3.06 update. Not doing so locks up the transmitter and in both Butch and my case blew the MBA board which we had to send in to Horizon Hobby to replace. That has been done and no more problems for me. Butch had some other issues with his but I think he has worked them out.

There is a NX10 thread on RC Groups which would be very helpful to you.

    Hope that helps...

    Steve

Anyone out there using the new Spectrum NX version transmitters?  If so, what are your thoughts on them?   What about the “smart“ batteries?
