Heart of Texas Miniature Aircraft Club, Inc. was founded in 1964 by individuals interested in building and flying fixed wing radio controlled models.
HOTMAC's 39 acre Speegleville flying site is located on U.S. Army Corps of Engineer property and has a USE AGREEMENT from the City of Waco, Parks and Recreation. The asphalt runway is 800' long by 80' wide. Vehicle access is by all-weather paved roads off Over Flow Road. See the interactive map.
HOTMAC is a 501(c)4 non-profit organization and is chartered Club #613 by the Academy of Model Aeronautics. Revenue from annual club dues and events is used to maintain and improve the HOTMAC flying site. The current site is known as one of the premier flying sites in the state of Texas and the United States through the hard work and dedication of its members to furthering the sport and education of model aviation.
